Kitrex operates as an intermediary technology platform that connects:
- Hunters (Users / Renters) - Individuals booking equipment
- Keepers (Rental Partners / Equipment Owners) - Individuals or businesses listing equipment for rent
Kitrex does not own, control, possess, inspect, or physically handle any equipment listed on the Platform.
When creating an account or booking equipment, we may collect:
- Full Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Profile Photo (optional)
- Account login information
This information is used to create and manage your Kitrex account.
For security and fraud prevention purposes, Kitrex may integrate with the Government of India DigiLocker system. If a user chooses to verify identity via DigiLocker, the following information may be retrieved: Full Name, Photograph, Date of Birth, Gender.
Address or phone number may not be retrieved where DigiLocker services do not provide such data. This information may be shared with the relevant Keeper for booking verification and security purposes.
If a user verifies identity using a Driving License via DigiLocker, the following may be accessed: Driving License copy, License number, Name and date of birth, Photograph.
This information may be shared with the Keeper associated with the booking for verification purposes. Keepers agree to use this data strictly for rental verification and security only.
When a booking is made through the Platform, we may collect: Equipment booking details, Rental duration, Pickup time, Transaction amount, Payment confirmation information, Booking history.
Payment transactions are processed through third-party payment gateways, and Kitrex does not store full card or banking details.
To maintain platform functionality and security, we may automatically collect: Device type, Operating system, App version, IP address, Device identifiers, Crash reports and diagnostic data.
For security and operational purposes, the Platform may record approximate device location or last app usage location, where such permissions are granted by the user. This information may be used for fraud prevention, booking verification, security investigations, and legal compliance requests.
Kitrex may use collected information for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing user accounts
- Facilitating equipment bookings
- Identity verification via DigiLocker
- Sharing necessary verification data with Rental Partners
- Fraud detection and risk monitoring
- Customer support and dispute handling
- Improving platform functionality
- Enforcing Terms of Use
- Complying with legal obligations
Kitrex does not sell personal data. However, information may be shared in the following circumstances:
When a booking is confirmed, the following information may be shared with the Keeper: Name, Photograph, Date of Birth, Gender, Driving License copy. This sharing is necessary for identity verification and booking security.
Kitrex may disclose information if required by law, including: Police investigations, Court orders, Government authority requests. Such disclosure will be made in accordance with applicable Indian laws.
We may share limited data with third-party service providers assisting with payment processing, cloud storage, app analytics, and platform infrastructure.
Kitrex implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security, and users acknowledge inherent internet risks.
We retain user information only as long as necessary for platform operation, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
Users agree to provide accurate information, maintain confidentiality of account credentials, not misuse identity verification features, and not use the Platform for fraudulent activities.
The Platform may integrate with third-party services including DigiLocker, Payment gateways, and Cloud service providers. Kitrex is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Kitrex does not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
Kitrex acts solely as an intermediary technology platform. Kitrex is not responsible for misuse of identity data by other users outside the Platform, off-platform transactions, privately collected security deposits, or theft between users.
Kitrex may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be published within the Platform, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
